Sharks acquire D Wallin from Hurricanes (AP)

The San Jose Sharks have bolstered their defense by acquiring Niclas Wallin in a trade with the Carolina Hurricanes. San Jose also acquired a fifth-round pick and sent a second rounder to Carolina to complete Sunday's deal. The Sharks had been shuttling defensemen back and forth from Worcester of the AHL for much of the season.
